Why it exists
Early $PEN holders backed this ecosystem before there was much to show
for it. The faucet is how we say thanks in a practical way: if you hold $PEN and you're
out of gas, you shouldn't have to go and buy $PC just to make a transaction.
But a faucet that pays out regardless of need stops being a convenience and becomes
something to be harvested. Earlier versions handed out a fixed daily amount whether you
needed it or not — far more than anyone actually spends on gas. That attracts farming,
drains the pool, and leaves nothing for people who are genuinely stuck.
So it now behaves like a spare fuel can rather than a salary:
it only pours when your tank is nearly empty.
How it works
- Sign in and connect. We read your $PEN holding to confirm your rank.
- We check your current $PC balance. If you already have enough gas there is nothing to claim — that's a healthy result, not an error.
- If you're below the top-up line, we send $PC to your Pentagon wallet — enough for roughly a hundred transactions.
- Spend it on-chain as normal. When you run low again, come back.
The amount is not a fixed number of $PC — it's derived from what gas actually
costs right now, targeting a set number of transactions. If gas gets more
expensive, the top-up grows with it.
What you get
| Rank | $PEN held | Topped up to |
| Bronze Key | 200,000 | ~100 tx of gas |
| Silver Shield | 1,000,000 | ~200 tx of gas |
| Gold Crown | 5,000,000 | ~500 tx of gas |
Everyone gets one claim per 24 hours — rank sets the size of the tank,
not how often you can fill it. A higher rank simply means you come back less often.
For the faucet, $PEN on Pentagon Chain is what counts. Gas is spent on
Pentagon Chain, so that's where we check — it lets us verify your balance on-chain at the
moment we allocate. $PEN on Ethereum or Arbitrum still counts towards your membership
rank, but you'll need some bridged across before the faucet can top you up.
Limits — read this part
- Nothing to claim when you're already funded. The faucet checks your balance first. Above the line it declines, by design.
- One claim per wallet per 24 hours. Keyed to your connected wallet, not your account, so extra accounts don't multiply it.
- This is in-ecosystem $PC. $PC on Pentagon Chain has no cash value, cannot leave Pentagon Chain, and is not the same asset as $PC on Ethereum. It's fuel for using Pentagon, not currency to extract.
- First come, first served, with a daily ceiling. Total daily output is capped as a safety measure. If it's reached, try tomorrow.
- It won't fund a business. The top-up covers ordinary wallet activity. If you're running something that burns real gas volume, buy $PC.
- Your loyalty streak keeps counting while you hold $PEN, whether or not you claim.
If you want more $PC
The faucet is capped and need-gated on purpose, so it isn't a way to accumulate. The way
to earn more is GetPC: lock $PC you already hold for a term you choose
and receive weekly-claimable $PC loyalty rewards on Pentagon Chain. Your locked $PC never
leaves Ethereum and comes back to you in full at the end of the term.
Staying active helps too — qualifying activity across the ecosystem earns more $PC over
time. The faucet keeps you moving; GetPC is how the balance grows.
Locked tokens from before
If you locked tokens through the old bridge, an exit path is being opened for you on the
legacy bridge — you won't have to leave them sitting there.
It isn't switched on yet; we'll announce it here and in Discord the
moment it is. Before you use it, understand the cost, because it is permanent.
⚠ Taking the exit forfeits your rank permanently
Bringing your tokens out permanently forfeits your $PEN-based VIP rank.
You will not be able to earn that rank again through $PEN on this
account — re-acquiring tokens later will not restore it. That includes losing the faucet
top-up ceiling the rank carried. This is deliberate and it cannot be reversed, so decide
accordingly.
